Every creative sometimes struggles with their projects, whether they are current or future ones. As a writer myself, I sometimes find myself wondering what to write, how to write it, and, more importantly, how it could inspire others. This page is dedicated to us, creatives who need a little something to help pick themselves up and keep going. On occasion I will add something new, to spotlight and promote other people's work. All credits go to the original writer, who shall be mentioned and their works linked (when available) appropriately.

Walking the Country Road

Published - 15/02/2024

Now, pausing to reflect,

Remembering my journey here.

Your company enjoyed along the way,

Experiencing each other's sadness - joy -

Now, interrupted rudely, without shame.

The forking road ahead,

Which path to take?

Left or right, new aquaintances.

A flower of the deepest blue

Distracts me but most pleasantly.

I stoop and wonder at its perfectness,

A forget-me-not.

Contemporary Art from Dylan Gill

A truly inspiring and fascinating series of art from the contemporary artist and self proclaimed cubist square head Dylan Gill.

The link below will take you to one piece of art I am really fond of. It has multiple layers to it, each telling a different story. One glance isn't enough for you to really see everything this piece has to offer. Dylan's Twitter page sums up his vision and art perfectly: "Everybody is unique if you look close enough. As movement becomes still in my paintings, the viewer is left with a new perception of shape, form reflected by the mind."

Yoga with Adriene

I am a huge advocate for self-care. In a world where it is hard to find time to take care of yourself, I have turned to yoga for 20 minutes of me time on a yoga mat. I am subscribed to and follow the videos of Adriene Mishler, and wanted to share her work with you. Whenever I am struggling mentally, or find myself stuck and don't know what to write, I get on the mat and stretch it out.

Some of her work can be found on the links below:
